I enjoyed studying webpage design and layouts for this week’s assignment. It was interesting to find out the different principles and laws to create a successful and readable webpage. An example of a good webpage that I found is at https://norwegianrain.com/. This webpage implements many of the principles for a good web design. The site utilizes contrast, color, alignment, repetition, and proximity. The same element design is repeated on every page. The font for headlines is all-caps besides the company name. The font is sans serif and easily legible. The accent color is subtle, light, and tan. I enjoy the simple layout of this webpage. It makes navigating the pages fast and easy. The simple design lets the products and their model’s complex individuality shine.

This website implements the important elements of whitespace, navigation, and typography. They use whitespace to fashion a minimal design for effortless subtly. The company’s use of whitespace carries a feeling of trustworthiness and reliability to the product. Navigation is easy to use as well. There are arrows and a navigation bar in a white, contrasting color. There is also a detailed directory of the store locations and social media platforms at the bottom of the web page.
