Something simple though that I have done wrong my whole life is not writing out the word percent. I always thought you would just do the symbol instead of writing it out. It is those simple things that I either didn't pay attention to growing up, or it isn't taught as well as it should be!

The Associated Press Stylebook
Doing this assignment has been a big eye opener for me. I grew up with my mom and grandma being really strict about grammar, so I thought that I would have this class down pat! Over the course of the semester it is crazy how much I feel that I have learned. While reading various post, articles, or stories, I find myself correcting the things that I have learned.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the percent and the symbol is not even a shortcut, we are just doing it wrong. There's a lot to learn and this class has helped me to see my mistakes that I am doing. There are some that I don't have down but with practice I'm sure we'll all do great.
