Week 14, A Good Website is Supreme

I know the assignment this week will help me in the future because websites are expected out of any business. As a communication's major, I'm sure I will contribute to a company's website in some way one day. After doing the assignment, I googled the best website designs in 2017. If you've never visited feedmusic.com., you need to. I don't even care about the information on the website, but the website design is an amazing experience.

Another fascinating website is http://education.iceandsky.com. The design is pretty magical and informational. I think if the website was dull, nobody would want to read the information or learn, but because the web design is so brilliant, it captures your attention. You don't even realize you're learning because you're too busy being impressed by the website.

I believe websites need to be crisp and clean. A cluttered website can lose a lot of users. I think having good images is very important to a website because a picture really does say a thousand words. For example, when you're shopping online you typically look at the image of the product to make your decision and not the description. There are a lot of principles that have to do with web design and a lot of them have to do with having pleasing aesthetics.

On a separate note, an editing mistake I found this week was in a newsletter. It said, "We will enjoy a variety of deserts and a special Christmas program together."  I sure hope we won't be sharing a variety of deserts. That would be interesting. I believe they meant to say desserts. Just one letter can change the entire meaning of a sentence.

  1. I checked out the education ice and sky website you suggested. It's got a user friendly layout that was probably very complex to create. I really enjoyed scrolling through the information! Good post!
